Report by Human Rights Watch.
January 2021.
The 31st annual World Report summarises human rights conditions in nearly 100 countries and territories worldwide in 2020. It reflects extensive investigative work that Human Rights Watch staff conducted during the year, often in close partnership with domestic human rights activists.
The 2021 World Report comprises essays on a variety of human rights topics, including a keynote by Human Rights Watch Executive Director Kenneth Roth "Biden’s Challenge: Redeeming a US Role for Human Rights". Further essays canvas environmental impacts, education and technology, gender-based violence, disability issues, asylum-seekers and refugees, policing, poverty and more.
