The Australian Human Rights Institute will offer three student internships in each of the three UNSW Sydney terms in 2019:

What I enjoyed most about the internship was the independence and being trusted to largely manage my own reviews, edits and deadlines. I truly felt like my work was valued and I was an essential part of the journal team. I was also able to attend and be involved in many Australian Human Rights Institute events, which gave me diverse and unique insight into contemporary human rights practices and current issues.

Linly Wang (Australian Journal of Human Rights intern, Semester 1 2018)

Interning at AHRI was a fantastic experience for me. The team was incredibly kind and welcoming, and I was given so many opportunities to participate directly in the work of the Institute, both supporting larger Institute projects, and engaging in individual projects, such as writing articles for the website.

The passion and drive of the staff was inspiring, and the programs they run are innovative and address both the well-publicised and lesser known human rights issues of today. I am so thankful to have been part of such an amazing group of people, and to have been able to contribute to an Institute that will undoubtedly be at the forefront of human rights advocacy in the future.
