The COVID‐19 pandemic has played out in ways that have exposed severe weaknesses in our understanding, valuing and use of the human rights paradigm—particularly when it comes to older people. From the moment the pandemic Maginot Line was drawn between people over 70 and those younger, there have been violations of the rights of older people, as older people.
